one of my favourite words is the Irish word grá... I used it yesterday in my sermon... here's my very own definition
Grá
An Irish word
Like the English word
Love
But much more potent
The kardia combustion
Of throbbing passions
A thud in the heart
That thumps through the chest
With animated ardor
Grá defines who I am
The core of identity
Firing what I do
Driving where I go
Choosing with rigour
Comrades for the journey
As well as the least of these
That it nudges me towards
For justice, healing and peace
Grá
Half the letters of grace
With twice the gentle jolt of God
God is grá.
